Stuart is a West Country man, born in Bristol and growing up in Bath. After graduating in Law from Durham University he trained in Bristol and Weston-super-Mare and qualified as a solicitor in 1980.
In 1983 Stuart joined Gould & Swayne and was a partner in the firm for many years until it converted to limited company status, when he became a director.
Stuart is Head of Property Law at Gould & Swayne and specialises in commercial property and charity property work. He has extensive experience in these fields, including a wide variety of freehold and leasehold property transactions, buying and selling businesses, charity formation and dealing with charity property.
